Seacoast Waldorf School and Albion, ME based Misty Brook Farm, a biodynamic farm, have teamed up to bring locally-grown, organic raw milk, vegetables, grains, and meat to the Seacoast. Beginning Tuesday, July 2nd, SWS will become the weekly Community Support Agriculture (CSA) pickup location for members as well as a drop-in farm stand for locals.
Misty Brook Farm (MBF) has also generously offered a 5% discount on their “Full Diet Farm Share” for the first year of participation for Seacoast Waldorf School families interested in joining up!
MBF offers a variety of different CSA options, their most unique being the “Full Diet Farm Share” in which Shareholders have access to everything produced on farm: raw milk, beef, pork, veal, chicken, vegetables, fruit, herbs, whole or stone milled grain, and eggs… 52 weeks a year! Shareholders are allowed to take home 30% of their total share price per month in meat. By participating in the Full Diet option, shareholders get to fully experience the beauty and bounty of a fully diversified farm system. MBF also offer a Certified Organic Meat Share and a Certified Organic Vegetable Share.
Pick-up will be hosted at the Seacoast Waldorf School, located at 403 Route 236, Eliot, Maine, each Tuesday in the parking lot from 3-5:30pm. Shareholders will “shop,” taking the meat, vegetables, grains, eggs, milk and cream they need for the week.
