Lisa Johnson | Beach Pea Nursery Lead Teacher

Lisa’s family has its roots in Portsmouth but she grew up in Concord, MA. After earning a Bachelor’s in Anthropology and Italian from Connecticut College and a Master’s from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, she moved to Italy. Lisa was introduced to anthroposophy at the Bologna Waldorf school where her two children began their education in 1995. She worked as a mixed-age, large-group kindergarten teacher there and in Modena (Miss Francesca’s hometown!) until her move back to Portsmouth in 2020. Lisa completed her Waldorf teacher training in Bologna in 2005, and has attended yearly conferences and workshops in Europe and New Hampshire, often focusing on human development and nature beings. Lisa enjoys weaving, curative eurythmy, and travel.
