Brita Stepe Brand | German Language Teacher
Brita is the German teacher and Brass instructor for the SWS wind ensemble. A Southern California native, Brita happily became a New England resident after attending college in New Hampshire and falling in love with the region. She has always had an appreciation for the musicality of language and is fluent in Latvian as well as German. After obtaining her BA in German Studies and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College, she taught in independent and outdoor schools across New England for several years before going back to school for her MS in Teaching Methodologies. When not geeking out over grammar, Brita spends her free time baking, reading, knitting, playing trombone, and spending time with her family in the beautiful NH countryside.
